about

This little album came about because of Brandon Lulay. He asked me to compose music for his game Driftr (check it out!) which got me into exploring all the synthesizer music that was embedded in my psyche as a youth. I kept recording more songs and naturally out came some Christmas music. All of these songs have appeared in one way or another on the Tent Theology podcast (check that out also!), so thank you to Stephen Backhouse for suggesting we “do something together” and Sean McCoy for being an endless resource. Thank you to Seth Hodel and James Lansberry for their generosity (oh you know!). Apologies to my sons, as there are no beat drops.

All of the artwork and text comes from the book Songs of the Nativity by William Henry Husk, published in 1867 by William Henry Hotten. The artist is unknown and the text is in the public domain (so come at me!)

Any and all proceeds made from this album, from henceforth and ever more, will be donated to Lula Peoria (www.lulapeoria.com) an organization who provides: “food, clothing, shelter, bedding and day to day living essentials for people who are currently without housing and/or food or who are experiencing housing and/or food insecurity.”
